I am a St. Simons Island native with strong family roots in the Glynn County community. I have worked within the restaurant industry for roughly ten years in both Atlanta and Savannah, as well as here on St. Simons Island. Although I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Special Education, I love the social interactions and ever-changing, high-pace volume involved within the restaurant and hospitality industries.
My knowledge and primary experience in food and beverage began while living in Savannah, GA, where I worked for a locally owned restaurant group as a waitress, bartender, and eventual FOH manager. As I became more involved with the ‘behind the scenes’ processes involved in running a restaurant, my passion for both mixology and the use of locally sourced ingredients grew. I decided to return home to St. Simons Island in 2015 and continue my career in restaurant management as a FOH manager and bartender at Ember & Mas Lounge.
